News from Apologet.ru: looking from St. Petersburg

Following the decision of UNESCO World Day of Philosophy was celebrated this year in Russia. Main events took place in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg from November 16th to the 21st.

In Petersburg they coincided with Days of Philosophy of St.Petersburg: “Philosophy in cultural dialogue, looking from  St. Petersburg” which were organized by St. Petersburg State University. More than 50 events were held in three days: symposiums, conferences, round table discussions.

Opening ceremony included greetings from the Chairman of the Upper Chamber of Russian Parliament Sergey Mironov and from the Bishop of Gatchina, the President of St. Petersburg Priestly Academy and the Honorary President of International Philosophical Society  Ioann Kuchuradi  and from leading philosophers of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

There participated the Bishop of the Evangelical Baptist churches of Kursk region and the Chairman of the Board of the Scientific Biblical Center “Apologet” Gennady Likhikh and Dr. Igor Savich, who represented Russian Scientific Apologetic Society and the Fund “Concordia”. They presented their thesis on two conferences: “Rationality and Faith” and “Reflexivity of truth in the context of culture
